This year we’re kicking the festival off with The Rock-afire Explosion, a documentary about a small-town
disc jockey, a struggling inventor, and an animatronic rock band. Opening night brings us two exciting
films. Like Dandelion Dust, based on the best-selling novel by Karen Kingsbury, follows what happens
when a couple’s idyllic life is shattered when their adopted son’s biological parents find a loophole in the
adoption papers. Starring Mira Sorvino, Barry Pepper, and Cole Hauser.
Also Premiering on opening
night, The Shark is Still Working is a captivating documentary about one of Hollywood’s biggest
blockbusters of all time, Jaws. To gear up for the documentary, come out to our special screening of Jaws
and see Steven Spielberg's classic on the big screen. Finally, our very exciting closing film is Complacent, a
narrative drama about two close sisters who are shaken to the core by a tragedy which questions the way
that they live their lives. Starring Kerri Green, Cerina Vincent, Elisa Donovan, and Joey Kern. Other films
in our lineup include How I Got Lost, Sordid Things, Ingredients, 90 Minutes: The World
Cup of New York, Stages, Rhyme and Punishment, Strictly Background, Branson, and Etienne!.
