2010 Lineup Announcement

We're so pleased to announce the lineup for our 8th annual Tulsa United Film Festival which will be coming back to the Circle Cinema this July 29th - August 2nd. To kick off the festival we will be having a pizza party with a free screening of The Rock-afire Explosion at Joe Momma's. Our opening night includes Jeffie Was Here, which follows the unpredictable road trip of one couple when an apparent stranger accompanies them on a road trip. We're also excited to present the Tulsa premiere of Biker Fox, the story of Frank P. DeLazarele III, aka Biker Fox, Tulsa’s misunderstood motivational bicyclist, nature conservationist, and muscle car guru.

Saturday showcases a day of environmental themed films Tapped, which examines the bottled water industry and its' effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and reliance on oil, and Dive! about the world of dumpster diving and the ugly truth about waste in America. That night, we will also have two screenings of The Rock'n'Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher, a carbon- neutral film produced in Tulsa, follows the awkward son of a rock star who works through his famous father's suicide by navigating the brutal underground world of karaoke.

Race Team, offering an inside look into a low budget race car team trying to make it big in the world of auto racing, will be having its Tulsa premiere on Sunday. The Wayman Tisdale Story, told through Tisdale's own words, gives a detailed account of the life of the former basketball star and jazz musician, from his childhood as a preacher’s son to his recent battle with cancer that led to the amputation of his right leg. Beyond the Pole follows a hilarious mockumentary film crew on the first carbon neutral, organic, vegetarian expedition ever to attempt the North Pole. And our closing film is Special When Lit which rediscovers the lure of a lost pop icon: pinball.

All features will be preceded by a few award-winning short films and many will feature Q&As with the filmmakers. On Friday and Saturday night, we are also going to be having special Midnight Movies of UHF and The Thing, so be sure to come out for these classics as well as all the amazing Tulsa premieres at this year's festival!
