Kickoff Film - Special Event - Thursday April 28th 7:00pm
Join accomplished composer Dennis Dreith for a special panel that will explore the missing music score from one of the most iconic films of the 20th Century. This totally unique event includes showing actual film footage BUT with the original music score written by Alex North. Hear from industry insiders that were at the original scoring sessions. The WHAT and WHY and the REAL back story behind the events that surround one of the best UNKNOWN controversies in Hollywood.
This promises to be a revealing, intriguing look at 2001: A Space Odyssey like NO ONE has ever seen. Hosted by the Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Join us on Wednesday, May 4th at The Vista Theatre as we honor Oscar Winning Cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond (Deliverance, The Deer Hunter, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Blow Out, Real Genius) with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The evening will begin with a handprint ceremony in front of the theatre at 7:30pm, followed by the award presentation inside. At 8pm, we will screen the classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind. |

We are pleased to announce that Edie McClurg (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Natural Born Killers, Cars), will be introducing our midnight screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on Friday April 29th at the Los Feliz 3! Edie played the role of Grace, Mr. Rooney's charmingly good-natured secretary, in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. |
