Synopsis
Would you choose immortality in place of experience? Pacifico, the immortal jellyfish, has traversed the ocean deep for thousands of years with an insatiable thirst for adventure. Jaded by his own languor, Pacfico attempts the impossible; explore the world above on his own. He travels through rivers and pipes splashing into a pitcher of water in the small apartment of Sherman, an aging shut-in with a tragic fascination for the world around him. Intrigued, Sherman decides to keep Pacifico as a token of his worldly collection. When an aquarium curator arrives at Sherman’s doorstep and informs him that Pacifico is the illustrious Turritoptsis Nutricula, a species with remarkable regenerative abilities, Sherman must choose; Donate Pacifico to the aquarium for safety and research or keep the companionship of his new best friend. Meanwhile, Pacifico has realized his gift of eternity outside the ocean is a curse. He must find a way out of his prison or face the damnation of solitude in a glass tank, forever.
